Yin Yoga Teacher Training

“Sit, be still, and listen.”― Rumi
Yin Yoga is not a lineage of yoga but rather a yoga-inspired modality that involves holding active poses for an extended period, typically ranging from 1 to 5 minutes. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, such as Vinyasa or Ashtanga, which emphasize muscular engagement and movement, Yin Yoga focuses on stillness, targeting the deeper connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones. It also helps to cultivate mindfulness and a meditative state. This modality is not to be confused with Restorative, which is a passive yoga practice from B.K.S. Iyengar.
This training is unique from others in the way that it focuses on the shapes, how they work, how to cue them, what they are targeting, and how to aid yourself and students in the practice of being uncomfortable but not in pain (discernment). You will leave this training confident in teaching Yin Yoga and a better understanding of your own practice.
